Once again, another breakthrough had been successfully achieved by the MOST Institute when their ordinary dreams transpired to a very extraordinary passion; showing their talents and vibrant skills through cooking.
It started at around 12 noon, hosted by Mrs. Christine Bersola-Babao. Prominent personalities like Senator Loren Legarda, News Anchor Karen Davila, and Marikina City Mayor Marides Fernando also attended the said occasion.
The event emphasized its support to mothers as the “most important women” of society. Through the Legarda Memorial Foundation, Woman Today magazine also extended its reach to the breast cancer victims. The Senator gave an award to the Marikina City Mayor, and afterwards promoted her advocacies regarding breast cancer issues. Karen Davila was also awarded by Woman Today magazine as the “Woman of the Year” and “Mother of the Year”.
After the AVPs, giving of awards, and runway presentations, the hungry audience rushed to taste the splendid work of the MOST Institute culinary professional chefs and their apprentices. They were all busy, but having fun serving the crowd with their delightful menu. The catering project was headed by Chef Kevin Ranillo. The presence of their director, Chef Mon B. Lota, even spiced up the students’ eagerness to serve better.
In an interview with the director of MOST Institute for culinary arts, Chef Mon said that this was indeed a promotional strategy. The director knew that it wasn’t about the earnings, but the goal that they could let the people know about the existence of such a culinary school who provides only the best in culinary service. Enrollees could be the best compensation for all their investments, but recognition would definitely be the best reward for all the hard work done. He also stated that this was not just plain promotion, but also a simulation for their students as well.
Chef Mon discussed that it’s not about the money spent in doing this activity, but the service that they render their clients, especially on events-for-a-cause like this. With this kind of activity, it’s really evident that their students do have a future in the industry, as their hard work paid-off in this exquisite event.
It’s really remarkable when people appreciate how the food is served. The crowd was very pleased with MOST Institute’s fine crew and handpicked menu. An event will never be as good as it is without the presence of superb food quality.
“A big heart”, Chef Mon said, is the key ingredient that a culinary arts master should possess. The success of every chef lies on his passion for what he is doing."
